TMJ & Orofacial Pain Therapy at Hellgate Family Dental

TMJ & Orofacial Pain Therapy

Neurotoxin Therapy for TMJ & Facial Pain

We offer therapeutic neurotoxin injections to help manage temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, jaw tension, facial muscle pain, bruxism, and headache-related muscle hyperactivity. By carefully targeting overactive muscles of mastication and facial expression, neurotoxin therapy may reduce pain, improve function, and decrease muscle strain.

Treatments are performed by a licensed dentist with advanced training in orofacial pain and facial muscle therapy.

Trigger Point Injection Therapy

Trigger point injections are used to treat localized muscle pain and myofascial dysfunction associated with TMJ disorders and chronic facial pain. Identified trigger points may be treated with local anesthetic (such as lidocaine) and/or neurotoxin to help relax muscle fibers, reduce inflammation, and improve jaw comfort.

This therapy is often used as part of a comprehensive TMJ and facial pain treatment plan.

Facial Esthetic Services

Therapeutic & Esthetic Facial Neurotoxin Injections

Neurotoxin injections, including Xeomin® and onabotulinumtoxinA (Botox®), may be used to soften facial lines caused by muscle overactivity while also supporting functional balance of the facial musculature. Common treatment areas include the forehead, crow’s feet, and perioral muscles, as well as treatment for gummy smile.

Treatment is individualized with a conservative, function-first approach to maintain natural facial expression and harmony.

Dermal Filler for Perioral & Lower Facial Enhancement

Dermal fillers are offered for select perioral and lower facial areas to restore volume, soften wrinkles, and enhance facial balance. Treatment areas include:

  • Nasolabial folds
  • Lips
  • Marionette lines

We do not perform cheek or chin augmentation. All filler treatments are approached conservatively and within the scope of dental practice, with emphasis on safety, facial anatomy, and natural-looking results.
